Some introduction copy regarding Scientific Programme is needed to maintain consistency across the site
The use of standard tools such as FACE tools combined with the increasingly routine use of electronic data collection systems means that there is the potential for the establishment of large central databases of anonymised data which can be used for a variety of scientific purposes including:
- Outcomes research
- Population profiling
- Development of statistical norms
- Service evaluation
- Audit
- Clinical research
In order to support such activities we have an agreement with University College London to base our central database at CORE, the British Psychological Society’s Centre for Outcomes Research and Effectiveness. If you have a local project that you feel may be of interest please contact us and we will be happy to discuss on an informal basis.
