The FACE RAS is the UK’s most accurate and widely used resource allocation system. We have worked with more than 25 councils to develop a sustainable, universal approach to resource allocation that is both scientifically validated and flexible in local implementation.
Financial sustainability
Councils using the FACE RAS have reported that its use has enabled them to make significant cost savings. Our data clearly demonstrates that the level of accuracy achieved by the FACE RAS can make a major contribution to sustainability in the difficult years ahead.
Fast-track set up
Our fast track set up enables councils to have an operational RAS up and running from Day 1 and a fully calibrated RAS tailored to local circumstances in just a few weeks.
Easy to update
The ongoing management of a RAS presents a significant challenge. A RAS needs to be updated annually and have the potential to be re-calibrated easily as local financial and market circumstances change. We have produced powerful easy to use software designed to enable updating and configuration of each council’s local RAS.
We decided to adopt the FACE RAS very early during our implementation of “Putting People First”. This has proved to be of huge strategic importance. We have worked with FACE since 2008 to develop our RAS. The FACE RAS combined with our investment in brokerage backed community social work, as the alternative to Care Management, is delivering a safe and sustainable system of personalised and self-directed adult social care support for Derbyshire. It is the combination of a technically proficient RAS delivered by confident, competent and respected Social Workers and community social work teams, that now provides us with a consistently reliable method of allocating personal budgets and high quality person centred care and support for local people and local communities.

As a member of the FACE RAS programme you receive personal support from our RAS team, including on-site visits, telephone support, a comprehensive resource pack and attendance at our well-attended and regular RAS user group events.
Open to all
